Application Note: Our sterling silver twisted wire is fabricated by twisting two round wires together. It is described by the gauge of the individual constituent wires and not the resulting overall diameter of the twisted pair. For example, our "16 gauge" twisted wire is composed of two 16 gauge round wires twisted together, which are approximately equivalent in overall diameter to a single 10 gauge round wire. True twisted wire using this method of construction produces a superior appearance that holds accent oxidation better than one piece extruded wires that imitate twisted wire.
